Projects at Mission And Pueblo San Marcos, New Mexico
Mission San Marcos Archaeological Project
This archaeological project, headed by David H. Thomas
of the American Museum of Natural History, focused on the excavation of the
mission complex at the site of San Marcos, in the Galisteo Basin of New Mexico.
As project Geomorphologist, I studied the architectural history of the mission
building in terms of the sequence of room construction, occupation, and re-use
over four centuries.

Pueblo San Marcos Archaeological Project
This project, headed by Ann Ramenofsky of the University
of New Mexico, focused on the archaeology of the pueblo of San Marcos, which
was occupied from about AD 1100 through the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, and then
intermittently there-after. My work focused on using stratigraphic methods
to document the architecture and occupational history of two room blocks at
the southern end of the site that had been dissected by an arroyo.
